Don Founded The Baker Group in 1972. Counseling Private Estates, Family offices, and business entities, with 52 years of experience Don specializes in estate planning, business continuation, charitable giving, and investment strategies. 

Don received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from The University of Detroit. Don holds the professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), as well as a Charter advisor of Philanthropy (CAP). He holds his Series 24 (General Securities Principal) and 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination) licenses, as well as health and life licenses in multiple states. Don is a member in the following associations: Lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table, The Financial and Estate Planning Council for both Oakland and Macomb County, Association of Advanced Underwriters, American Society of Financial Service Professionals & the American College, Financial and Estate Planning Council of Metropolitan Detroit, and PartnersFinancial.

Don lives in Harrison Township with his wife Helen and dog Bella. He has 3 children and 5 grandchildren. His hobbies include sailing, hunting, and fishing. He is a member of the Detroit Yacht Club where he is past Commodore and co-founder of the DYC Rod & Gun Club.

Greg joined The Baker Group in 1993.  His experience as a commercial lender gives Greg a unique understanding of the needs of closely held companies and their owners.  His understanding of wealth management strategies, qualified plans, employee benefits, and business continuation practices is evidenced by his many long time clients.  

Greg received his Bachelor of Arts in Financial Administration from Michigan State University.  Greg holds the professional designation of Charter advisor of Philanthropy (CAP).  He holds his Series 7 (General Securities Representative),  24 (General Securities Principal) , 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination), and 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination)  as well as health and life licenses in multiple states.  Greg is a member in the following associations:  Top of the Table, Boy Scouts of America.

Greg lives in Chesterfield Township with his wife Julie, his 3 sons Connor, Max and Devon, his 3 dogs, Lucky, Lilly, and Cara, and his cat Shadow.  His hobbies include coaching, sailing, squash, hunting and fishing.  He is a member of the Detroit Yacht Club and the Detroit Athletic Club.

Chuck joined The Baker Group in 2006.  His experience as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Detroit Lions gives him the management skills to head our Western Florida Office.  His time on the NFL Coaches and Front Office Benefit Committee gives him the experience to understand and implement strategies to develop, administer, and manage savings, retirement, health, and life insurance benefits for his clients.

Chuck received his Degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Master’s Degree in Finance from Wayne State University.  He holds his Series 7 (General Securities Representative) as well as health, life and variable annuity contract licenses.  Chuck is licensed as a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative through NFP Advisor Services, LLC, member FINRA/SIPC.

Chuck lives in Holly, MI, and Fort Myers Beach, FL with his wife Sharon.  He has 3 children and 5 grandchildren.  Chuck enjoys golfing and boating.



Ted Moss

Ted joined The Baker group in 1993 when it was a general agency of Mass Mutual Financial Group, after a diverse career as a management consultant (McKinsey & Company), Real Estate Investment Advisor (Mellon Bank) and corporate executive (Stroh River Place Properties). When Baker left MassMutual and became an independent firm a few years later, Ted remained with MassMutual until he rejoined The Baker Group in 2013.

Ted's focus with The Baker Group is the creative application of insurance/annuity strategies with affluent families and businesses, to optimize outcomes in the processes of retirement income planning, efficient estate disposition and wealth transfer, and life and long term care risk management. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School.

Ted lives in Beverly Hills with his wife, Magda, a senior Human Resources executive and their little dog, Simon. He is an avid upland game and waterfowl hunter, sailor, boater and outdoorsman. He and Magda are also enthusiastic attendees of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Detroit Opera Theater.

Nancy joined The Baker Group in 1980.  She specializes in the insurance planning process.  With 47 years of experience in the insurance industry she analyzes our client’s insurance needs and assures they are met and exceeded.  In addition to being an insurance expert she oversees the new business department as well as maintaining client relations.

Nancy holds her health and life insurance license. Nancy is in the following associations:   Crawford Armstrong.

Nancy lives in Dearborn with her dog Georgie Girl.  She has 2 children and 3 grandchildren.  Her hobbies are gardening, grandchildren.



Rod LoCricchio Rod LoCricchio

Rod joined The Baker Group in 2014.   His 14 years’ experience in the investment field give him the critical thinking and organizational skills our clients have come to expect.

Rod received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Walsh College.

Rod lives in Clarkston.  Rod’s hobbies include hunting and fishing.

Julie joined The Baker Group in 2013.   With 22 experience in lending, Julie has originated, processed, underwritten, and closed both commercial and residential mortgages.  Julie has spent 16 years being social director and chauffer to the Fabulous Baker Boys.  Julie’s financial background and ability to keep multiple schedules allows her a unique ability to facilitate client relations while implementing and maintaining The Baker Group’s marketing plan.

Julie received her Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University.

Julie lives in Chesterfield Township with her husband Greg, her 3 sons Connor, Max and Devon, her 3 dogs, Lucky, Lilly, and Cara, and her cat Shadow.  Her hobbies are boating, golfing, running, skiing, and traveling.  She is a member of the Detroit Yacht Club, and the Detroit Athletic Club.
